The SPRINTER project was presented at the ePIXfab High-Speed Modulators Workshop, currently taking place in Ghent, Belgium, bringing together leading European research projects and experts working on the next generation of high-speed optical modulator technologies.
During the opening session, Christos Tsokos presented SPRINTER, introducing the project’s vision, objectives, and contribution to the field of high-speed optical communications. His presentation highlighted SPRINTER’s role in addressing the increasing demand for faster, more efficient, and scalable photonic technologies capable of supporting future data-intensive applications.
SPRINTER focuses on advancing high-speed optical communication systems by exploring innovative photonic solutions that can contribute to the development of next-generation communication infrastructures. Its participation in the workshop provided an important opportunity to share the project’s progress, exchange technical insights, and connect with other European initiatives working across the high-speed optical modulators ecosystem.
The workshop opened with introductions from representatives of the participating projects, setting the stage for two days of technical talks, discussions, and knowledge exchange around high-speed optical modulators. Events such as this play an important role in strengthening collaboration between research teams, identifying synergies, and supporting the development of advanced photonic technologies for future communication networks.
SPRINTER is pleased to be part of this valuable exchange and would like to thank ePIXfab and all participating projects for contributing to the workshop!
