The SPRINTER Project is pleased to highlight the participation of the GOTL (Optoelectronics and Laser Technology Group) at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in EuCAP 2026, taking place in Dublin, Ireland, where the team will present two accepted papers.

The presented works address important challenges in millimeter-wave (mmWave) and terahertz (THz) communications, contributing to the advancement of antenna technologies for next-generation wireless systems. The two accepted papers are:

  • A Multi-Layer High-Gain 1×4 Antenna Array for Millimeter-Wave Applications (P1-A01)
  • Additive Manufacturing-Enabled Dielectric Horn Antenna for mmWave and THz Range (A04)

These contributions explore innovative approaches toward achieving high gain, low loss, and scalable antenna solutions, combining advanced antenna design with additive manufacturing techniques. Such research directions are closely aligned with SPRINTER’s broader vision of supporting enabling technologies for future high-frequency communication systems.

This achievement also reflects the value of collaboration across academia, research and industry, bringing together the expertise of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and LeapWave Technologies, under the leadership of Guillermo Carpintero, with contributions from Asrin Piroutiniya, Ashish Kumar, Muhsin Ali, Alejandro Rivera, Enderson Falcón, and Miguel Sánchez Rodas.

The results presented at EuCAP 2026 are supported by a strong collaborative framework across multiple European initiatives. In particular, SPRINTER, together with TERA6G, POLYNICES, and TORRES QUEVEDO, contributes to advancing the research and development of high-frequency communication technologies, fostering synergies that accelerate innovation from design to application.

SPRINTER is proud to support research efforts that push forward innovation in the fields of mmWave, THz, and wireless communications, and we look forward to the dissemination of these results at EuCAP 2026.
